The Hornchurch Wargames club was formed in 1969 and has had to change venues on several occasions since. We are currently based in the Community Center in Harold Hill where there is plenty of free parking space and has a bus stop directly outside, buses 294 and 256 can be caught from Harold Wood railway station which takes about 5 minutes by bus or you could walk from the station which would take about 15 to 20 minutes depending on your walking pace.
When we moved to the latest hall it was decided to keep the name of Hornchurch as we had spent many years building up our reputation as The Hornchurch Wargames Club.
I have been a member of the club since June 1988 and have attended around 40 weeks every year since. We meet on Monday evenings between 7.00 and 11.00 but do not meet on public holidays.
The pictures that can be seen on the site are of models used at the club and at shows that we have attended over the years. You can see the periods and scales that are covered at the club by clicking the button ‘Games Info’ on the left. There are many pictures to be seen of the games that have been put on over the years.
